A Trip Down Memory Lane for University Animal Hospital
Welcome Our New Doctor to University Animal Hospital in Tempe
Dr. Tiffany Smith is originally from St. Louis, Missouri but spent a significant part of her life in Iowa – including time spent at Iowa State University. Almost 2 years ago she came out to visit Arizona for the first time and spent a month with UAH as an extern. After 2 weeks, she decided she wanted to be a veterinarian in Arizona, this was the place for her to be! Her interests include most aspects of veterinary medicine, and she has an equal appreciation for both the canine and feline patients she gets to see each day.

Monsoon Advice for Your Pets
The Monsoon is coming!
Many of us are looking forward to the coming changes in the weather, in particular the rain and cooler temperatures that come with Arizona’s summer monsoon. Sadly, this is a rough time of year for some of our canine companions. Thunderstorm anxiety can range from hiding and trembling on up to extremely self destructive behavior. Behavior experts are not sure of the cause of thunderstorm anxiety but one study shows that it is more common in the sporting or working breeds, and sometimes in rescued pets.
